The Maintenance Mechanic — 12-Hour Rotating Nights role is onsite in Kankakee, IL, on a rotating 12-hour schedule from 6:15 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Pay is $37.50–$40.00 per hour, with shift differentials listed for specified evening and overnight hours. AHF Products manufactures hard-surface flooring. The mechanic maintains and repairs production equipment to reduce unscheduled downtime and keep operations safe and efficient. The role diagnoses malfunctions, completes work orders, supports changeovers and line startups, and documents maintenance work while following safety and manufacturing practices.

What you'll do

• Support the preventive-maintenance program
• analyze problems and interpret technical information to make repairs
• inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and validate work
• follow company safety, lockout/tagout, GMP, and OSHA procedures
• complete work orders and maintain detailed records
• repair equipment to limit downtime
• assist with equipment changeovers and line startups.
