Journeyman Heavy-Duty Service Technician

The Journeyman Heavy-Duty Service Technician role is onsite in Fresno, CA. Pay is $34–$38 per hour, based on experience. The technician supports Coast Counties Peterbilt’s customer vehicle repair service. The role diagnoses and repairs heavy-duty trucks and equipment, completing quality work efficiently and documenting repairs accurately. It also supports safe shop operations, coordinates parts and repair updates with the service team, and maintains tools and certifications.

What you'll do

• Plan repair strategies with the service team
• determine work from repair orders
• diagnose vehicle issues and verify customer complaints
• complete repairs efficiently and accurately
• document repairs and time
• road-test vehicles if holding a CDL
• coordinate parts and warranty returns
• maintain shop cleanliness and tool readiness
• assist with estimates
• update the service manager
• participate in training
• maintain certifications
• and follow safety and hazardous-waste requirements.
