What you'll do

• Perform inpatient, outpatient, urgent care/emergency, STAT, ASAP, and timed blood draws
• process specimens and prepare send-out specimens
• positively identify patients and samples
• document and resolve collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues
• safeguard patient information under VA privacy and HIPAA requirements
• provide professional service
• work in other lab areas as needed and participate in monthly staff and quality-improvement meetings.
