The CDL-A Driver / Crew Member, Horizontal Directional Drilling role is onsite, with a project location in Richmond, VA and jobsites throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. Pay is $25–$36 per hour based on experience, plus an additional $2 per hour CDL-A premium. Drill-Tech performs horizontal directional drilling and underground utility work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This dual-role position transports heavy equipment, materials, and tooling and supports horizontal directional drilling crews in the field. It helps move equipment safely between the company yard and active jobsites while contributing to jobsite setup, breakdown, and installation work.

What you'll do

• Transport, load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials
• follow DOT and FMCSA requirements for load securement
• complete vehicle inspections and required logs and documentation
• verify load dimensions and follow permits, routes, and escort requirements
• deliver materials to crews and relocate equipment between jobsites
• maintain trucks and trailers
• assist crews with setup, breakdown, drilling materials, excavation, potholing, and product installation
• follow company, DOT, OSHA, customer, and jobsite safety requirements.
