The position supports Kalihi Palama Health Center’s Patient Centered Health Care Home team in coordinating patient care. The Medical Assistant helps providers and the care team prepare for, examine, and treat patients. The role combines clinical procedures and documentation with patient check-in and follow-up, supporting coordinated, patient-centered care.

What you'll do

• Review patient records and care gaps
• support appointment reminders and check-in/check-out
• record vital signs
• perform clinical procedures and provider-directed orders
• administer ordered medication
• assist with simple wound dressing
• complete laboratory orders
• prepare exam rooms
• inventory supplies
• sterilize and pack instruments
• document in the electronic medical record
• schedule appointments and communicate with patients and care team members.
