Foreperson / Crew Lead

The Foreperson / Crew Lead position is onsite in Richmond, VA. Compensation is $24 per hour. The role coordinates field crews performing line-clearance vegetation work, including work that may be needed during storms. The foreperson organizes people, equipment, and supplies so assigned jobs are completed safely and to contract specifications. The role combines crew direction with hands-on tree trimming and removal, site cleanup, customer communication, and work documentation.

What you'll do

• Direct crew members and manage daily equipment
• assign tasks and supervise performance
• plan and execute work safely
• coordinate access and work details with property owners
• enforce PPE and safety practices
• trim or remove trees using climbing equipment, lifts, or ground tools
• spray stumps and brush
• load debris and operate or feed chippers
• direct cleanup
• inspect completed work
• maintain time, equipment, and material records
• inspect trucks and conduct job briefings
• restock supplies and report equipment issues
• respond to storm work as needed.
