Part-Time Code Compliance Technician

The Part-Time Code Compliance Technician role is onsite in Fort Worth, TX, with pay of $15 per hour. The position works under the administrative direction of the Director of Public Services to investigate complaints and enforce municipal codes and adopted policies. The technician inspects properties, documents potential violations, communicates compliance requirements, and follows up on cases. The work helps the city administer its codes and respond to public concerns.

What you'll do

• Inspect properties for compliance with zoning and environmental health codes
• issue and document notices of violation and conduct follow-up inspections
• investigate alleged violations, interview complainants and witnesses, take photographs, and update records
• explain required actions to citizens
• research property uses and ownership
• maintain inspection and surveillance records and prepare reports
• respond to public inquiries and complaints
• assist with court or administrative case reports and testify as necessary
• participate in joint enforcement projects
• provide regular updates to the Director of Public Services.
