Registered Nurse (RN), Perioperative Surgery

The Registered Nurse (RN), Perioperative Surgery role is onsite in New Castle, PA, with a Monday and Thursday daytime schedule and no evening or overnight shifts. Compensation is not specified. The role supports the surgical team at a facility performing cataract extractions with intraocular lens implants two days a week. The nurse provides safe, patient-centered care across pre-operative, post-anesthesia care, and operating room settings. Cross-training across these areas supports the surgical experience from preparation through recovery and discharge.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care throughout the surgical experience
• complete pre-operative assessments, preparation, education, and IV access
• provide post-anesthesia monitoring, assessment, pain and nausea management, and discharge teaching
• assist with operating room circulating duties and maintain a safe, sterile environment
• collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other care team members
• document accurately and follow facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• help maintain an organized, efficient surgical environment.
