Job overview
The Senior Business Analyst – Software Development role is based at a secure facility in Washington, DC, with partial telework during early development and full-time onsite presence required as the program matures; compensation is not specified. The analyst connects mission stakeholders with the delivery team by translating needs into clear, testable, traceable requirements. The role supports Agile planning, software and data delivery, integration, testing, and release readiness while establishing analysis standards and mentoring analysts.
What you'll do
- Elicit and translate business, operational, user, data, and system needs into requirements, specifications, epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- facilitate stakeholder working sessions
- document current and future-state processes
- manage Jira requirements and traceability
- support data quality, reporting, and governance
- author and review project documentation
- participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and release readiness
- support ServiceNow and AWS integrations
- identify dependencies and risks
- establish analysis and acceptance standards
- mentor analysts and review requirements packages.
