Personal Care Aide

What you'll do

• Assist residents with oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, hair and nail care, shaving as requested, incontinence and perineal care, and bowel and bladder functions
• make beds and keep call bells within reach
• check residents’ needs according to care plans
• observe and report skin concerns
• provide catheter care
• assist with slings, braces, and assistive devices
• serve food and assist with feeding
• provide verbal encouragement
• report resident needs and concerns
• follow infection prevention, confidentiality, and safety procedures
• attend staff meetings and participate in shift handoffs.
