Certified Medical Assistant — Addiction Recovery and Behavioral Health

Job overview

The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Kokomo, IN, with stated pay of $16–$21 per hour. The position supports an outpatient addiction treatment and recovery clinic providing Medication-Assisted Treatment. Working under a licensed physician or advanced practice provider, the assistant supports clinical visits through intake, testing, injections, monitoring, and accurate documentation. The role also helps coordinate medication authorizations and referrals while maintaining trauma-informed, confidential patient care.

What you'll do

• Conduct clinical intake, record vital signs and histories, and prepare COWS/CIWA assessments
• collect and process specimens for toxicology testing
• administer delegated intramuscular injections
• perform phlebotomy and screenings
• monitor patients after injections or during ambulatory detoxification
• maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment logs
• coordinate prior authorizations and referrals
• document care in the EHR and follow HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements.
