What you'll do
- Respond to overhead emergency activations and calls for declining patients, including Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, and Code Blue
- conduct physical, neurological, and cardiovascular assessments
- provide nursing interventions including medications, IV initiation, oxygen, defibrillation, and advanced monitoring as ordered and in collaboration with an APRN or physician
- coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other professionals
- educate and mentor nursing staff
- document assessments, interventions, medication histories, and communications
- conduct rounds on high-risk patients
- lead critical-event debriefs
- coordinate, delegate, and supervise rapid response team duties.
