What you'll do

• Manage the admissions process for referrals from hospitals, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, and related businesses
• screen and accept referrals in a timely manner, referring outliers to the Administrator or Director of Nursing
• generate referral leads
• convert potential referrals to admissions
• liaise with referral sources and care professionals
• coordinate bed availability and room readiness with nursing and housekeeping
• ensure admissions documents are uploaded to medical records
• maintain bed availability and daily census
• communicate new residents’ special needs to staff
• maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid.
