The Youth Leader, West Oahu role is onsite at participating elementary school A+ program locations on O‘ahu, HI. Compensation is $18.25–$20.25 per hour. The YMCA of Honolulu supports youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through its after-school program. The Youth Leader supervises participants and helps plan and deliver program activities that support children’s academic and social development. The role helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment while communicating with families, coworkers, and program partners.

What you'll do

• Assist site coordinators and youth directors with program operations and participant supervision
• lead age-appropriate learning experiences
• develop and share activities
• facilitate inclusive programming and positive play
• communicate with participants, parents, coworkers, and agency contacts
• safeguard children’s health and safety
• maintain participant records and site supplies
• attend meetings and training
• and uphold program policies and facility rules.
