The Generator Technician role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI. Compensation is up to $43 per hour depending on experience, with hourly rate incentives based on job site. The technician supports an industrial power equipment sales and service network serving customers including hospitals, data centers, commercial truck fleets, and the U.S. military. The role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains power generation equipment to support reliable operation. Field service, rebuilds, and testing cover standby generators and fire pump drivers, along with their fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.

What you'll do

• Perform diagnostics, failure analysis, emergency field service, and rebuilds on standby generators from 8.5 kW to 3,500 kW and fire pump drivers
• diagnose and repair fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
• service and maintain third-party power generation equipment
• operate load banks and record instrumentation readings
• operate and maintain company service trucks
• manage assigned parts and tool inventories
• stay current on product modifications, technical specifications, and industry practices.

Why this role
