Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer role is onsite in Voorhees Township, NJ, with compensation of $100,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience. The engineer supports a business unit delivering utility-scale power, microgrid, distributed-generation, and medium-voltage electrical system designs. The role develops and coordinates electrical infrastructure designs and projects, supporting client proposals and relationships as well as construction review, inspections, testing, and commissioning.

What you'll do

• Design grid-connected power generation systems and associated electrical systems
• develop equipment and installation specifications
• evaluate proposals and technical submittals
• coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• prepare electrical calculations and analysis reports
• lay out equipment and cable systems
• support construction reviews, inspections, testing, and commissioning
• respond to customer and contractor questions
• participate in site surveys.
