Ready Mix Driver

The Ready Mix Driver role is an onsite position based in San Diego, CA. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the operations department at CalPortland. The role exists to ensure the safe and efficient transport of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. The driver is responsible for equipment adjustments, vehicle maintenance, and maintaining high standards of customer service while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations.

What you'll do

• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
• Must be willing to work according to customer demands
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management.
