Lab/Test Technician

Job overview

The Lab/Test Technician role is fully onsite in Needham, MA, for a six-month contract starting as soon as possible. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour on W-2. The technician supports laboratory testing and ongoing test requests in collaboration with an engineering team. The technician performs established tests, operates laboratory equipment, records data, and reports failures or unexpected results. Accurate testing and documentation help the engineering team assess results and address issues.

What you'll do

• Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures and standards
• support daily laboratory operations and testing requests
• operate laboratory and vacuum-related equipment as required
• collect and organize test data
• identify failures and deviations
• communicate results and issues to engineers
• follow documented procedures
• troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate when needed
• maintain documentation and an organized lab.
