Event Security Officer – College Athletics

The Event Security Officer – College Athletics role is an onsite, part-time position in Houston, TX. Starting pay is $18 per hour. Allied Universal Event Services provides crowd management and event staffing at sports, concerts, festivals, and other venues. The role helps keep event guests, staff, and venue assets safe while supporting a positive guest experience. Duties include screening guests and bags, checking tickets and credentials, managing access and traffic, monitoring security checkpoints, and responding to crowd-control concerns.

What you'll do

• Prepare for and support event-day operations
• check tickets, wristbands, and badges
• direct venue entry and traffic
• screen guests and bags using searches, hand wands, metal detectors, and ID checks
• monitor checkpoints for security breaches
• respond to crowd-control issues and escort guests when ejections are warranted
• follow venue policies
• provide directions and customer service.
