What you'll do

• Provide risk assessment, education, counseling, and psychological support to individuals and families at risk for hereditary cancer
• Obtain personal medical history and family history in the form of a pedigree
• Assess risk for cancer development and germline mutations
• Discuss genetic testing options, implications, and obtain informed consent
• Interpret genetic test results and provide post-test counseling
• Discuss screening and prevention recommendations
• Maintain timely patient charting and billing submissions
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

What we're looking for

Education

Master’s degree in genetic counseling

Experience

Master’s degree in genetic counseling; Board certification by the American Board of Genetic Counselors (ABGC); Exceptional communication skills.
