Certified Medical Assistant — Sedona Family Practice

The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Sedona, AZ. Pay is $20.01–$29.64 per hour. The position works with departmental healthcare teams to support providers, patients, and families and help maintain patient flow. The role exists to assist with patient assessments, procedures, documentation, and follow-up, contributing to coordinated care and patient outcomes. Duties include clinical support under provider supervision, care-plan follow-up in Community Care Management, and administrative coordination.

What you'll do

• Escort patients and communicate delays
• review records and conduct pre-visit interviews
• record medical history and vital signs
• communicate patient concerns to providers
• administer injections under provider supervision and may perform venipuncture and capillary punctures
• conduct designated point-of-care tests
• support referrals, prescription renewals, care plans, and post-hospital follow-up
• document in electronic medical records
• answer and prioritize calls
• prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment
• follow safety and compliance requirements. Requires a high school diploma or GED and an accredited medical assisting diploma or an accepted active medical assistant certification
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
