Site Safety and Health Officer

Job overview

The Site Safety and Health Officer role is an onsite position in Fort Belvoir, VA, with an annual salary range of $80,000–$110,000. The officer reports to the Site Level Program Manager and administers worksite health and safety programs at the assigned facility. The role exists to ensure contract safety requirements and applicable regulations are followed, train the workforce, and reduce workplace hazards. It supports safe facility operations through inspections, hazard controls, incident investigation, documentation, and coordination of workers’ compensation cases.

What you'll do

• Administer corporate and site-specific health and safety programs
• ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 and contract requirements
• maintain subcontractor EMR and OSHA DART information
• prepare and update the Accident Prevention Plan
• review Activity Hazard Analyses
• audit hazards and recommend controls or personal protective equipment
• coordinate and deliver safety training
• investigate incidents and prepare reports
• coordinate workers’ compensation cases.
