Senior AI Architect

Job overview

The Senior AI Architect role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with client-site work possible based on engagement needs and at least three days per week at a Sia office or approved coworking location between engagements. The base salary is $117,300–$121,400 per year. The role is part of Sia’s AI & Data Business Unit and AI Platforms team. The architect translates client business requirements into secure, scalable data and AI architectures and provides technical leadership across project delivery. The role also supports business development through solution scoping and proposals, mentors colleagues, and contributes internal intellectual property and reference architectures.

What you'll do

• Define end-to-end architecture for data and AI projects across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, machine-learning and deep-learning model serving, generative AI applications, and agent-based systems
• serve as technical contact for client stakeholders
• align architecture with business objectives, security, and regulatory requirements
• lead architecture reviews and technical governance
• guide engineering teams and remove impediments
• oversee projects from advisory and assessment through production deployment
• address scalability, reliability, observability, and cost
• contribute to technical scoping, proposals, and effort estimates
• participate in client presentations and workshops
• identify account opportunities
• mentor junior consultants and engineers
• contribute internal intellectual property, accelerators, and reference architectures.
