Construction Inspector – Transportation (On-Call)

What you'll do

• Inspect and report on construction projects
• advise the Resident Engineer or Agency Project Manager and notify contractors of variances
• take material samples and assist with field tests or laboratory analysis
• check public utility locations, grades, flow lines, and structure locations
• review traffic control plans and field traffic control and project safety
• inspect earthwork, asphalt, concrete placement and curing, and reinforcing steel
• assist with submittal, RFI, and CCO reviews
• verify material acceptability
• maintain inspection records, daily diaries, photo logs, and contract item quantities.
