The Cook role is onsite in Brookings, SD and/or Flandreau, SD, and pays $16.50–$20.50 per hour. The Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Plains’ mission is to inspire young people to realize their potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The cook oversees kitchen and café operations, preparing and serving meals and snacks while maintaining cleanliness and health standards. The role supports youth programs through meal service, menu development, inventory assistance, and food service across Club locations as needed.

What you'll do

• Prepare traditional Club snacks and supper and assist with ECEC as needed
• assist the Kitchen Manager with weekly inventory and food deliveries
• unload food orders
• complete Food Safe training and maintain kitchen standards
• clean and sanitize the kitchen and café, including dishes
• assist with café program development and nutritional menus
• assist with Club special events
• support other Club locations as needed
• transport food and provide food service across sites as necessary using a Club-owned vehicle
• assist with meal preparation and kitchen operations at alternate locations when needed
• lead assigned grant program implementation and completion
• attend required staff and team meetings.
