The Preschool Teacher - Floater role is onsite in Peoria, IL, with schedules that may vary according to enrollment, staffing ratios, and operational needs; shifts are not guaranteed to be eight hours. Pay is $16–$20 per hour. Cadence Education provides early learning programs and aims to support children, families, and educators. The floater supports daily classroom operations and the Lead Teacher by helping maintain a safe, inclusive, engaging environment and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum. The role responds to children’s individual needs, supports classroom routines, and builds positive relationships with families while following safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support an inclusive classroom and welcome children and families
• assist with individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral plans as directed
• support curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership
• follow safety and supervision procedures and document incidents
• assist with child behavior documentation and escalation
• attend required meetings, training, and professional development.
