The role supports early childhood classrooms at The Learning Experience – Canton. The assistant teacher helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, build friendships, and develop skills, working alongside Lead Teachers.

What you'll do

• Support Lead Teachers with classroom activities and routines
• engage children in play-based learning, sensory activities, music, art, and early learning
• assist with meals, diapering or toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• supervise and guide children
• maintain an organized classroom
• build relationships with children and families
• follow Michigan childcare licensing and safety requirements.
