Operations Junior Data & Staffing Analyst

Job overview

The Operations Junior Data & Staffing Analyst role is hybrid in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; occasional weekends and holidays are noted. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. The analyst supports Kahana & Feld’s leadership, practice groups, and administrative departments with operational and staffing analysis. The role turns data from firm systems into reports, dashboards, and workflow improvements that support workload management, utilization tracking, staffing coordination, and operational efficiency. It also helps practice group leaders plan resource needs and maintain balanced workloads in support of client service.

What you'll do

• Collect, organize, and analyze financial, timekeeping, billing, staffing, and operational data
• prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards
• maintain data quality across databases
• build SharePoint lists, forms, and automated workflows
• use APIs, PowerShell, Power Automate, Excel, Microsoft Lists, and Power BI to connect systems and streamline processes
• monitor workloads, capacity, productivity, and matter assignments
• coordinate attorney staffing with Legal and People Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and practice group leaders
• and recommend process improvements.
