Gulfstream Lead Mechanic

The Gulfstream Lead Mechanic role is an onsite, full-time position in Wichita, Kansas, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Compensation is described as competitive with performance-based incentives, but no numeric amount is specified. The role is part of Yingling Aviation’s boutique-style maintenance, repair, and overhaul operation. The lead mechanic plans and coordinates mechanics’ work, assists with aircraft repairs, and helps ensure work meets safety, FAA, and manufacturer specifications. The role also supports quality checks, customer communication, final-inspection preparation, and the orderly completion of work orders.

What you'll do

• Direct and plan mechanics’ work with service and maintenance leadership
• assist with aircraft system, airframe, and engine repairs
• help ensure quality and report unsafe repairs or potential problems
• use technical publications and shop equipment
• support safety procedures and customer communication
• prepare aircraft and paperwork for quality inspection
• ensure work orders are ready to close
• maintain an orderly work area and provide backup moving aircraft.
