Community Direct Support Professional | Flexible Schedule

Job overview

The Community Direct Support Professional role is onsite in New York, NY, with a flexible schedule; compensation is $17–$20 per hour. HASC Center supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in pursuing fuller, more independent lives. This role provides person-centered assistance with daily living and independent-living skills, supports community participation and safety, and documents outcomes according to individual plans. The work helps people build skills and participate more fully in their communities.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living and independent-living skills according to individual plans
• promote individualized services
• document outcomes and observations
• provide protective oversight
• accompany individuals on community outings
• communicate with program staff
• report incidents
• attend trainings and meetings
• maintain required certifications and driving authorization
• follow HASC policies, including maintaining a Kosher home and Jewish environment.
