Human Resources Benefits and Employment Relations Specialist

The Human Resources Benefits and Employment Relations Specialist role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, with Monday–Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. The specialist reports to the HR Director at Cellular Sales Verizon Authorized Retailer and supports employees and leaders with benefits administration and workplace investigations. The role helps ensure consistent policy application, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience. It administers leave and benefits processes while gathering and documenting facts for HR leadership to review employee concerns and determine next steps.

What you'll do

• Assist with FMLA and other leave administration, including state Paid Family Leave programs
• interview participants in impartial workplace investigations
• respond to employee questions about leave, benefits, workplace concerns, and HR policies
• maintain premium arrears payments and notices
• support benefits billing
• gather and organize investigation records
• prepare objective investigation summaries
• assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications
• update the company intranet
• support employment-law and leave compliance.
