Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician role is onsite in Columbus, OH, with evening or night shifts, five 8-hour shifts, and a 13-week contract. Traveler pay is $1,100–$1,200 per week based on experience; local candidates are offered $24–$27 per hour based on experience. The technician supports operations at a high-volume Level I Trauma Center. The technician processes surgical instruments and medical equipment to support safe, timely surgical care. Responsibilities span decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, sterile storage, tracking, and coordination with operating room teams; the role may float to other assigned healthcare facilities.

What you'll do

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and medical equipment
• assemble and prepare instrument sets
• perform Sterrad and steam sterilization
• conduct high-level disinfection and process scopes
• maintain sterile storage and inventory
• provide operating room liaison support
• use CensiTrac for tracking and documentation
• float to other assigned healthcare facilities as needed.
