The Paramedic, Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Support role is onsite in Lancaster, PA; annual compensation is $67,500. SmileMD provides office-based anesthesia care for pediatric Medicaid patients receiving operative dentistry, with care delivered in dentists’ offices. The paramedic transports and sets up supplies and medications, assists the physician during operating-room procedures, and supports patient movement and room turnover. Accurate patient records, supply tracking, and communication help the care team deliver anesthesia services to patients who might otherwise face long waits for hospital care.

What you'll do

• Travel to case days with medical equipment and supplies
• set up and tear down equipment and supplies
• assist the physician in the operating room
• assist with moving patients to recovery
• turn over the operating room between patients
• enter patient data accurately in the EMR
• provide service to dental staff, care team members, patients, and families
• track medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
• communicate with patients and medically clear them for anesthesia.
