What you'll do

• Unload slabs from trucks and the Melt Shop Caster table
• load and unload grinders
• weigh slabs
• pile scheduled campaigns for the Hot Rolling Mill
• prepare slabs for grinding and check for defects
• assist inspection with temperature checks
• operate the flip table
• check grinder scales
• maintain 6S
• follow safety rules and assigned housekeeping and maintenance work
• coordinate slab identification and cutting with the torch operator.
