The role reports to the Transaction Advisory Services Practice Leader and ultimately the Tax Department Practice Leader. The managing director leads tax transaction advisory engagements and helps grow the buy-side practice, combining technical tax work with client leadership, staff supervision, business development, and practice initiatives.

What you'll do

• Lead tax M&A consulting engagements, including due diligence, tax structuring and financing, support for quality-of-earnings engagements, and acquisition and disposition modeling
• perform discrete tax consulting analyses
• review partnership and sales agreements
• prepare tax research memoranda
• supervise and train tax staff
• support recruiting, proposals, client pitches, networking, cross-selling, billing, and practice initiatives.
