What you'll do

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• encourage participation and maintain a positive learning environment
• track attendance, collect homework, and supervise students
• adapt teaching methods for individual and group needs
• manage classroom activities and cleanup
• supervise children in classrooms, halls, and playgrounds
• for long-term substitute assignments, develop lesson plans consistent with the regular teacher’s plans
• communicate with the head teacher and assist with supervising and assessing student teachers.
