The role manages staffing, training, performance, and department routines while maintaining effective working relationships with residents, families, staff, medical personnel, and regulators.

• Direct and delegate licensed and ancillary personnel

• develop schedules and work routines
• plan orientation and in-service training
• conduct department meetings
• review hours and approve overtime
