The Maintenance Mechanic — Manufacturing role is onsite in Statesville, NC. Compensation is not specified. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with some required Saturdays. The role supports Leggett & Platt’s Flooring division and carpet cushion production. The mechanic helps improve production processes by building parts and machinery and maintaining manufacturing equipment. The work includes assembling equipment, reading technical documentation, performing basic repairs, and checking products for quality and uniform completion.

What you'll do

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, and electrical equipment
• read blueprints and schematics and build to specifications
• use machines, hand tools, and power tools
• maintain equipment and perform basic repairs
• check products for quality and uniform completion
• resolve identified problems and alert the supervisor
• perform other related duties as assigned.
