Journeyman IT Specialist

The Journeyman IT Specialist role is onsite at NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD. Compensation is $70,000–$90,000 annually. Don Selvy Enterprises supports military aviation and maritime capabilities through engineering, training, and program management; BOOST LLC is recruiting for the client. The specialist provides day-to-day IT support and maintains systems, records, and security documentation to help keep operations aligned with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements. The role combines user support, device administration, asset tracking, and CMMC-related compliance work.

What you'll do

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for Windows laptops, Microsoft 365, and basic network connectivity
• assist with user accounts, device configuration, and troubleshooting in Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, and the M365 Admin Center
• maintain asset inventories, patch logs, and change records
• support CMMC Level 2 practices, including access control, incident response preparation, and secure configuration management
• maintain System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and hardware and software inventories
• and collaborate to maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements. Requires at least three years of IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience, familiarity with CMMC Level 1 or NIST 800-171, and U.S. citizenship. Onsite attendance at NAS Patuxent River is required.
