SIEM Engineer

Job overview

The SIEM Engineer role is hybrid, with three onsite days per week at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg, PA. Compensation is not specified. The engineer supports an enterprise security monitoring environment and collaborates with SOC, infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams. The role builds and maintains SIEM capabilities that strengthen security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and enterprise log management. It provides hands-on engineering support for platform operations and detection content while the Director retains strategic and program oversight.

What you'll do

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and optimize the SIEM platform, primarily Splunk
• onboard data sources and manage log collection and retention
• develop searches, detection rules, alerts, dashboards, and reports
• integrate SIEM with cloud, applications, infrastructure, and security tools
• monitor platform health
• troubleshoot and tune alerts
• support SOC analysts and incident response
• assist with upgrades, patches, testing, and documentation.
