Behavior Support Specialist

Through assessments, collaboration with individuals and their support teams, and staff training, the specialist helps reduce barriers, build strengths, and improve quality of life.

What you'll do

• Complete evaluations and functional assessments
• observe individuals in home and community settings
• analyze behavioral data
• develop individualized behavior support and restrictive procedure plans
• collaborate with individuals, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• train and mentor staff and families
• monitor strategies and revise plans
• maintain progress documentation and behavioral tracking tools
• attend team meetings and reviews
• comply with HIPAA, ODP, and applicable standards
• advocate for individual rights.
