Tinning Operator

Job overview

The Tinning Operator role is fully onsite, beginning in Montgomery, IL, and moving to Carol Stream, IL in the summer. Pay is $23–$25 per hour. Wieland manufactures, processes, and distributes copper and copper-alloy products. The operator supports production at the hot tin dip facility by safely processing, handling, and packaging material and operating tinning-line machinery. The role contributes to productive operations while following quality standards, process controls, and safety requirements.

• Perform production tasks safely and identify workplace hazards
• follow Job Safety Analyses and wear required personal protective equipment
• process assigned material according to quality standards and process controls

Why this role

Requires two years of industrial machinery operation experience, sit-down forklift certification, and competence with banders or hand tools, basic math, and measuring equipment. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; the role may move to a second shift after one year.
