DCD Special Education Teacher

The DCD Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Saint Paul, MN; compensation is $38–$60 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services is seeking a teacher to work in a school setting. The teacher develops and delivers individualized instruction and supports students’ educational progress through lesson planning, family and staff communication, and coordination with on-site therapists. The role contributes to a safe, productive classroom and student-specific learning plans.

What you'll do

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans
• communicate student progress and challenges with staff and family members
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite family participation
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• confer with on-site therapists about disciplinary and behavioral issues
• maintain a safe, productive classroom.
