Sous Chef

The Sous Chef role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO. The stated pay range is $25–$28 per hour. The position supports kitchen operations at St Louis Union Station Hotel. Working with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef helps lead the kitchen, maintain consistent food quality, and keep service efficient. The role also supports staff development, inventory and food-cost control, food safety, and menu improvements.

What you'll do

• Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
• oversee food preparation and quality
• coach and train kitchen staff
• monitor inventory, place orders, manage food costs, and reduce waste
• maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene
• assist with menu items and seasonal specials
• address operational issues to support an efficient kitchen.

Why this role
