Senior Estimator

Job overview

The Senior Estimator role is onsite or remote, with listed locations in Denver, CO; Rocklin, CA; and West Palm Beach, FL, as well as remote availability. Compensation is $140,000–$180,000 per year. Forgen is a geotechnical and specialty civil construction company addressing complex civil, geotechnical, and environmental challenges. The estimator develops project and service cost estimates and coordinates proposals with capture teams and company reviewers. The role supports competitive, well-documented bids by analyzing project requirements, risks, quantities, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

What you'll do

• Develop detailed cost estimates and proposal materials with capture teams
• prepare quantity takeoffs, schedules, diagrams, work plans, and figures
• assess and communicate project risks
• review drawings and specifications
• obtain competitive quotes
• maintain cost databases and bid files
• attend pre-bid walks as needed
• mentor estimating staff and interns.

Why this role

Requires scheduling and estimating software experience, a valid driver's license, and a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Eight or more years of heavy-civil or similar estimating experience is preferred. Position may require frequent travel.
