The Residential Counselor, Clarendon role is onsite in Boston, MA, working 40 hours per week Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Pay is $21.40–$23.97 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour for hours worked between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The role supports tenants’ quality of life at Pine Street Inn’s Clarendon location. The counselor provides an evening presence, conducts building rounds and wellness checks, responds to tenant needs, and intervenes during crises. The role also helps uphold tenant rights and house rules and reports or addresses building maintenance and housekeeping concerns.

What you'll do

• Conduct regular building rounds and tenant wellness checks, remain available to tenants, observe and uphold tenant rights, and support compliance with occupancy agreements and house rules.
• Set limits when appropriate and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Note housekeeping or maintenance issues, resolve them when possible, and refer concerns to appropriate staff.
• Occasional daytime availability is required for training, meetings, and other obligations.
