Before and After School Program Teacher

The Before and After School Program Teacher role is onsite in Holt, MI, with morning hours from 7:00–9:00 a.m. and afternoon hours from 3:00–6:00 p.m. Compensation is $15–$16 per hour. Caterpillar Corner provides before- and after-school care for school-age children. The teacher creates a safe, structured, and engaging environment around children’s school day. The role supports children’s learning, creativity, social interaction, and positive behavior through planned activities, routines, and communication with families.

What you'll do

• Welcome children and help them begin the day
• plan age-appropriate morning activities
• provide quiet activities, games, reading, and creative play
• support transitions to school transportation
• greet children after school
• supervise snacks and homework or quiet work time
• plan art, science, games, reading, STEM, crafts, dramatic play, and indoor or outdoor activities
• support positive behavior and social skills
• maintain an organized space
• communicate with families
• follow center policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures.
