The Cook role is onsite in Detroit, MI. Pay is $20 per hour. The cook supports meal service for students participating in the program operated by Serrato Corporation. The role prepares and serves nutritious meals that meet dietary needs and program guidelines, while maintaining kitchen and dining-area sanitation. It also supports meal planning, food inventory, safe food handling, and customer service to students.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals and snacks in collaboration with the food service manager
• follow a 28-day cycle cafeteria menu
• support meal service for work-based learning, off-center activities, and late arrivals
• provide food options for diverse dietary needs
• assist with ordering, receiving, storing, and inventorying food
• maintain sanitation and food safety
• provide customer service to students
• complete cafeteria lock-up checklist when assigned.
