Senior Accountant

Job overview

The Senior Accountant role is onsite in Boston, MA, five days a week. Compensation is $60,000–$96,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility. Flexcar offers month-to-month car leases with insurance and maintenance included. As the first US accounting hire outside the Controller, this role supports the growth of Flexcar’s US accounting function. It contributes to accurate monthly close, audit readiness, process and control development, and timely financial reporting while coordinating with an India-based accounting teammate.

What you'll do

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly close
• help document and implement accounting processes and controls
• coordinate day-to-day handoffs with the India-based accounting team member
• organize audit documentation
• identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
• support technical accounting research and memo preparation
• respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
• oversee Accounts Payable.
