The Psychologist or Psychiatrist — Behavioral Health Examiner role is an in-person, part-time position in Dothan, AL, scheduled two weekdays between Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $62.50 per hour. The role performs Compensation and Pension disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans for submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The practitioner reviews medical history and conducts one-time, non-treatment evaluations, documenting findings and requested opinions electronically. The examiner does not treat or prescribe medication and does not make disability determinations; the VA makes those determinations.

What you'll do

• Review medical history, service records, and prior examinations
• complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires and medical opinions through the electronic medical record system
• explain the exam process and confirm claimed conditions
• submit completed documentation within 24–48 hours
• administer and interpret psychological testing as needed
• follow applicable protocols for emergencies. Telehealth exams may be requested as needed.
